Loukoumia packaging
New package design for a traditional Greek delicacy
The project aimed to improve the functionality and sustainability of the previous packaging for loukoumia from the island of Syros. Also, to improve its aesthetic value without losing its identity and originality.
The new design consists of two boxes:
• a blue internal box where the product is placed and sealed,
• a white box, the lid of which forms a wave-like shape when it closes.
The aesthetic appearance of the package is improved, with the blue wave representing the sea, since the product is produced on an island. In addition, the package creates a longer wave when put next to each other on a shop’s shelf.
